Legal Basis

Articles 88 and 89 of the Housing Act and Article 91 of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act.

Purpose of Survey

Selling and charter prices in countrywide housing markets are surveyed, and average price fluctuations in housing markets are measured and used as housing market judgment indices or as reference data for the establishment of housing policies.

Scope of Survey

Tradeable apartment houses, detached houses, and tenement houses (excluding rental).

Survey Unit

261 si/gun/gu (including non-autonomous gu and non-autonomous si)

Survey Method

  • Overall survey of prices and trends based on a field survey of samples and data analysis.
    • (Selling, charter, and monthly prices) Prices are surveyed based on the prices of subject houses at the time of sale (charter or monthly); and, if not sold, based on a comparison of cases of adjacent houses of the same type and of a similar scale.

      If adjacent houses are unavailable for survey, the most reasonable tradeable prices of subject (sample) houses (charter and monthly) are surveyed.
